1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and supply information to website operators.

Cookies can be “session cookies” (which are deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent cookies” (which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them).

2. How We Use Cookies

AuditWeb.cloud uses a minimal number of cookies, primarily for essential functionality. We respect your privacy and keep cookie usage to the strict minimum necessary for our Service to function properly.

3. Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of our Service. They cannot be disabled without impacting the functionality of the website. Under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, these cookies do not require consent as they are essential for the service you have requested.

4. Analytics Cookies

AuditWeb.cloud does not currently use any analytics or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party analytics services that set cookies on your device.

If we introduce analytics cookies in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and request your consent before setting any non-essential cookies, in compliance with GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive.

5. Third-Party Cookies

When you interact with certain features of our Service, third-party services may set cookies on your device:

5.1 Stripe (Payment Processing)

When you make a payment or visit a payment page, Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention, security, and to process your payment. These cookies are controlled by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. Common Stripe cookies include:

  • __stripe_mid — Fraud prevention and detection (persistent, up to 1 year).
  • __stripe_sid — Fraud prevention and detection (session).

These cookies are set only when you interact with Stripe payment elements and are necessary for secure payment processing.

6. Cookie Consent

In accordance with GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive:

  • Essential cookies do not require consent, as they are strictly necessary for the Service to function. These cookies are set automatically when you use the Service.
  • Non-essential cookies (if introduced in the future) will require your explicit consent before being set. We will present a clear cookie consent mechanism allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies.

Since we currently only use essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is required. If we add non-essential cookies in the future, we will implement a consent mechanism and update this policy accordingly.

7. How to Manage Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are stored and delete them individually.
  • Block third-party cookies.
  • Block cookies from specific websites.
  • Block all cookies from being set.
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser.

Please note that blocking or deleting essential cookies may prevent you from logging in or using certain features of our Service.
